Last Day in Year 1!

Today was our last day together in year 1 so we played some games. The children chose musical bumps, musical statues and musical chairs. We also played heads down, thumbs up and wink murder. We had a lovely day and the children were amazing.

I just want to thank you all for the generous gifts that Mr Wally and I received this week. We are humbled by your kindness and thoughtfulness. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday and look forward to seeing you all in September.

🍫 Chocolate Party πŸ«

Last week year 1 had a fabulous chocolate party to celebrate the end of our Cadbury Topic. We had the chocolate fountain going with bread sticks, marshmallows and bananas smothered with delicious melted chocolate. We played outside with water trays, Duck Pong and skittles and then we had a classroom full of toys for the children to play with. Take a look πŸ‘€

Sewing and Celebrating in Year 1

This week we have been celebrating some amazing achievements. Children that have read at least three times a week over the last ten weeks have received a book of their choice. This is given to the children during our Reading assembly. 1BH won the Reading trophy too!, We had a congratulations certificate assembly at the end of last week. The children have been working so hard and are using all the Learning to learn skills that we have been teaching this year to achieve such high standards. We have also had our first sewing lesson this week! Ask your child which stitch we were using to decorate our book marks πŸ‘πŸΌ To end such an exciting week, our Reading for Pleasure day was a huge success. The children enjoyed going through all of the books we have read this academic year and shared the stories with each other. Take a look πŸ‘€
